I am a 49 year old man born and bred in Fribourg Switzerland who tends to spend evenings listening to TV whilst sketching.
I was raised with the idea that we are all somehow talented and encouraged to create regardless of the medium. I’ve tried my hand at different mediums, failing miserably at most.
Eventually, in the early nineties, I took a liking to Black&White photography and went with this with relative success for a couple of decades until films, papers and chemicals became rare and very expensive. Digital imaging never cut it for me (as you can see in the poor quality of the photos of the sketches) and I simply stopped taking pictures.
Since I always enjoyed picking up a pen and sketching, I moved on to this with a bit more enthusiasm and, pushed by my wife who likes them, I am now jumping into the unknown and have decided to show them.
The technique used in my sketches is mainly fineliners (0.1 and 0.3) sometimes with the addition of pencils and/or coloured pencils.
